Save the Dates for 2023-2024 Campus Ministry Retreats
As we come to the end of this 2022-2023 academic year, the Office of Campus Ministry thanks you for your support and generosity. Through Campus Ministry, students have had an opportunity to grow in faith through retreats, all school Masses, and devotions such as the Stations of the Cross and the Rosary. Students have been invited to discover their unique talents and gifts by serving in various ways such as completing service hours, altar serving, and leading all school prayers and announcements. We are very grateful to the students for sharing their time and talents.
The Office of Campus Ministry is committed to promoting the mission and vision of Austin Prep by providing retreats and prayerful moments for students, parents, and staff to foster a deeper relationship with God and neighbor. Looking forward to another successful year, we have organized retreats for students, staff, and parents as indicated in the 2023-2024 Academic year retreats schedules below:
More information will be provided via email in the coming weeks.
Newly Enrolled Students and Parents Welcomed at BBQs
Newly enrolled Middle School students at Wednesday's BBQ.
Despite the academic year just coming to a close yesterday, we are already excited for 2023-2024! This past week we hosted BBQs with carnival style games and great food for newly enrolled Austin Prep Middle School students and parents, as well as for members of the Class of 2027. It was a great opportunity to meet new classmates and families before we break for summer! Photos from the Middle School BBQ can be viewed here.
Students Living our Mission
Thank you to all our students recognized in this space this year for demonstrating our values on campus.
Logan Elliott '27
Unitas is a key component of what distinguishes an Augustinian education from all others. We continue to look forward to working together to strengthen our community in a way that is reflective of our core values of veritas, unitas, and caritas.
As we do so, the Office of Student Life aims to build students of strong character while recognizing exemplary behavior on campus. Students who best display the values that are distinctive to the Austin Prep experience will be acknowledged monthly here in the Cougar Courier and on social media.
This month, we would like to recognize the work of Logan Elliott ‘27. Logan performed various tasks to assist faculty members, including cleaning classrooms and assisting in technology set ups for class. These small acts of kindness go a long way as Logan has embodied Caritas in the month of May. Great job, Logan!
Thank you to the Austin Prep students for stepping up all year long!
Save the Date: 60th Anniversary Gala
The doors of Austin Prep opened to students in September 1963. For the last 60 years, Austin Prep has been on an enduring and restless journey of excellence in the footsteps of St. Augustine. In that time, we have built a sturdy foundation and fortified it with the Augustinian values of veritas, unitas, and caritas.
So let's celebrate our Journey! Save the date for our 60th Anniversary Gala, a night of celebration and reminiscing. This event will be one for the books, so remember to mark the date of Friday, September 15th because you don't want to miss it. Keep an eye out for ticket information coming in July, and get ready to celebrate Austin Prep!
Best Buddies Program Supports Annual Unified Game Day
Students in the Austin Prep Best Buddies program recently volunteered at the 5th Annual Unified Game Day for Special Olympics held in Wilmington, MA. Fourteen Austin Prep students, as well as Mrs. Rebecca Martinello, Mr. Jaycob Morales, and Mr. Dustin Batista, supported Kindergarten to Post Grad athletes with intellectual and physical disabilities along with their partners from the Billerica, Burlington, and Wilmington School Districts. Participants competed in multi-station athletics and activities throughout the day.
Austin Prep Volunteers took a lead at a station named, "Olympic Town" by providing various games and crafts, in addition to music and dancing in collaboration with student leaders from other districts.
This event was an exemplar of our core value Unitas and emphasized respect, dignity, along with advocacy for all students.

Have a Great Summer!
As we come to the end of the Academic year, we are very grateful to God for all the graces bestowed on us. We express our gratitude in the following words. Thank you to Sr. Maria Gorreth Nassali, Directory of Campus Ministry, for leading us in this end of academic year prayer:
Almighty God and father. As we come to the end of this school year, we offer our thanks and praise to you for the dedication and commitment of the Austin Prep administration, teachers, staff, alumni, parents and students. We thank you for the sacrifices made, the encouragement they provided, and the passion they brought to their work each day.
We pray that the summer break would be a time of renewal and refreshment for the administration, teachers, staff, and students. May they return in the fall with renewed energy, passion, and enthusiasm. We ask for your blessings upon parents and benefactors of the Austin Prep Community.
We pray for the successful completion of the summer project, and bless the workers with wisdom and energy. Amen.
