Father Hagan, Augustinian Prior Provincial, Delivers St. Augustine Lecture
Lecture focused on Austin Prep’s 2025-2026 theme, “In Illo uno unum”
During Thursday's St. Augustine Lecture, Fr. Hagan emphasized the importance of embracing AI -- Augustinian Identity.
On Thursday, April 30 Austin Prep hosted its annual St. Augustine Lecture and welcomed Reverend Robert P. Hagan, O.S.A., the 41st Prior Provincial of the Order of St. Augustine of the Province of St. Thomas of Villanova to campus for this community event. The Lecture Series began in 2015 and is considered one of the signature events to enrich the intellectual life of Austin Prep by introducing students to accomplished individuals who share their lived experiences and life lessons. Father Hagan covered a wide variety of topics in this year’s lecture, recalling his experiences with the 2016 NCAA National Champion Villanova Wildcats Basketball Team, introducing the school community to the Cause of Canonization of Father Bill Atkinson, O.S.A., and as we approach the one year anniversary of his papacy, reflecting on the Augustinian way of life that has shaped the leadership and ministry of Pope Leo XIV. The lecture closed with a question and answer session with a student panel.

Father Hagan is a graduate of Villanova University and holds a J.D. from Widener University School of Law. He practiced law for several years as a criminal defense attorney and served in various legal roles before answering the call to priesthood. Following his ordination, Father Rob returned to Villanova University, where he served as team chaplain for the football and men’s basketball programs in addition to other administrative roles. His wide-ranging experience in leadership, ministry, and pastoral care uniquely positions him to serve as this year’s speaker.
Community Mass is Tomorrow

The next Monthly Community Mass will be held tomorrow, Sunday, May 3 at 9:00 a.m. in the Chapel of St. Augustine. We welcome you to join us. The Mass will give us an opportunity to meet each other and pray together, at least occasionally. We will join for a time of fellowship in the Dining Hall after Mass. We are pleased to announce that Austin Prep is once again hosting our Tuition Raffle, open to all current parents, and the raffle is now open! The owner of the winning ticket will receive a credit of up to the full tuition cost for one student for either the 2025–2026 or 2026–2027 academic year. Tickets are $275 each, and only 250 tickets will be sold.
The winning ticket will be drawn at the Austin Prep Golf Tournament on Monday, May 18, at Indian Ridge Country Club. You do not need to be present to win, but keep your phone nearby—you may receive an exciting call from Dr. Hickey!

Austin Mentors Program Celebrates Close of the Year
Thank you to our Austin Mentors.
Tuesday, April 28 marked the final Austin Mentors meeting of the year, bringing the group together for a meaningful and memorable close. Students spent time outside enjoying activities like Four Corners and kickball, creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere to celebrate their time together. Throughout the afternoon, peer mentors and mentees engaged in thoughtful conversations, reflecting on the connections they built over the year. It was a great way to wrap up the program, highlighting the strong sense of community, support, and growth that Austin Mentors fosters.
Throughout the year, Austin Mentors has also embodied the values of veritas, unitas, and caritas—truth, unity, and compassion. The program creates space for students to come together across grades, building authentic relationships grounded in care and respect. Peer mentors model empathy and encouragement, while conversations promote honesty and self-reflection. These core values are woven into each meeting, helping students grow not only socially, but also as thoughtful and compassionate members of their community.

Annual Juniors vs. Seniors Flag Football Game Leads Into Senior Week

On Thursday, April 30, Juniors and Seniors played their annual flag football game (a victory for the Senior Class of 2026), which leads into a full week of special activities next week for the senior class, including special meals in the dining hall, a reception for seniors and parents with James Hickey, Ph.D., Head of School, on May 7, and polo signing, driveway chalking, and super soaking on May 8. AP Language and Composition Students Find Their Passion
AP Language and Composition classes recently wrapped up their six month long pursuit to find their passion. After reading Ken Robinson’s The Element: How Finding Your Passion Changes Everything over the summer of 2025, students designed their own project to pursue throughout the school year. Students set goals, created their own rubrics, and wrote a reflection about the process. Students showcased their work for fellow students and faculty at the annual Passion Project Museum. Evolutionary Mashups: Where Science Meets Creativity
Ms. Aprille Hibbard's 7th grade students are combining cutting-edge AI technology with timeless scientific inquiry to reimagine the natural world, and they're doing it as part of the Faith + Innovation AI Contest: The Catholic Schools AI Challenge, sponsored by the Archdiocese of Boston. Guided by faith, driven by creativity, and inspired by what's possible, students design entirely new species by blending vertebrate traits, then bring their imaginative creatures to life through AI-generated imagery. But this isn't just about creativity! Students dig deep into research, comparing human discoveries with AI-generated information to develop critical thinking skills about both evolution and artificial intelligence. By exploring adaptation, ecology, and vertebrate classification through hands-on investigation and visual design, these young scientists are learning how to ask better questions, evaluate sources, and think creatively about real-world problems. The result? A collection of hybrid creatures that showcase not just scientific understanding, but the powerful intersection of faith-inspired innovation and technological possibility.
Harvard Medical MEDscienceTECH Program Closes with Innovation Showcase
Austin Prep students completed their Harvard Medical School MEDscienceTECH program Monday.
For high school students, learning science inside Harvard Medical School is an extraordinary opportunity. This year, 19 Austin Prep students in the Harvard Medical School MEDscienceTECH program did just that, diagnosing simulated patients, working with surgical robots, applying artificial intelligence to medical problems, and pitching original innovations to judges.
The yearlong STEM immersion concluded this spring with the MEDscienceTECH Surgical Innovation Showcase at Harvard Medical School. Five teams presented original surgical innovations, demonstrated robotic prototypes, and made their case for mock investment before judges from Boston University and Austin Prep.
Throughout the year, students worked in Harvard Medical School’s MEDscience simulation suites, practiced clinical communication, explored anatomy and surgical techniques, and applied physics principles through hands-on engineering challenges. The final event brought that work into a professional setting that felt part operating room, part robotics lab, and part “Shark Tank.” Read more about their experience in The Reading Post.

Class of 2026 Enjoy Fun Filled Senior Week
Seniors enjoyed their last day together on campus on Friday.
Thursday was the last day of classes for our seniors, and this past week was Senior Week for the Class of 2026! Seniors came together to tie-dye and sign shirts, enjoy specially requested meals in the Dining Hall, and participate in the traditional super soaker battle before departing campus midday Friday. We hope it was a great week and that you found time to enjoy your friends, classmates, and faculty members who have walked with you on your journey. Baccalaureate and Commencement is May 14

We are excited to celebrate the Baccalaureate Liturgy and Commencement for the Class of 2026 on Thursday, May 14 at 4:00 p.m. on Austin Prep’s Father Seymour Field. The rain location will be Richard J. Meelia '67 Hall. Ticket information was sent to families back in April. For those not able to attend, the event will be livestreamed. Livestream information will be sent to the community the morning of the event. Mass will be celebrated by the Most Reverend Cristiano Barbosa, Auxiliary Bishop of Boston. Bishop Barbosa was the celebrant at Austin Prep's Blue Mass in 2024. We look forward to welcoming Bishop Barbosa back to campus and celebrating the Class of 2026.
Class of 2031 to Gather for May Mother's Tea on Monday
Students and guests are invited to bring flowers or small plants to place around the statue and the altar at the May Mothers' Tea.
We look forward to the annual Middle School tradition of the May Mothers' Tea. This is a special event for our Class of 2031 will be held on Monday, May 11 at 8:15 a.m. Each seventh-grade student is invited to host one guest - their mother or a motherly figure (i.e. step-mother, grandmother, aunt, neighbor).
The event will begin at 8:15 a.m. in St. Augustine Chapel with a short prayer service during which we crown a statue of the Blessed Mother. Students and guests are invited to bring flowers or small plants to place around the statue and the altar. Following this prayer service, seventh graders host a tea with light refreshments in the Dining Hall as an extension of Mothers' Day. The event will conclude by 9:15 a.m. Students are required to be in Chapel Dress.

Teacher Appreciation Month Kicks Off With Classroom Naming in Honor of Ms. Barletta
Ms. Celia Barletta is retiring after 41 years of service to Austin Prep.
Back in late March, Austin Prep launched a new initiative giving our community a powerful and heartfelt way to honor the extraordinary educators who have shaped our students' lives and made Austin Prep the special place it is. We invited you to celebrate a beloved teacher or coach by making a gift to name a classroom in their honor. This May, as we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Month, we look forward to unveiling classrooms named in honor of treasured faculty and staff members.
On Monday, May 4, we revealed the first classroom named in this initiative: Room 317 in honor of Ms. Celia Barletta, World Language Faculty. For 41 years, Ms. Barletta has simply shown up - for her students, for her colleagues, for this School - and let her work speak for itself. A classroom named in her honor feels, in many ways, like exactly the tribute she deserves: enduring, meaningful, and a reflection of the profound impact she has had on everyone who has walked through her door. This classroom naming was made possible by the generosity of the Class of 1997, whose gift is itself a testament to the kind of impression Ms. Barletta leaves. That former students, decades removed from these halls, would choose to honor her in this way says everything about who she is as a teacher and as a person.
In so many ways, Ms. Barletta's career has been a living expression of our Augustinian mission - to inspire hearts to unite, minds to inquire, and hands to serve. For 41 years, she has embodied veritas, unitas, and caritas not as abstract ideals, but as daily practice: pursuing truth in her classroom, building unity among her colleagues and students, and offering her care and presence with remarkable consistency. She is, in the fullest sense, what Austin Prep aspires to be. As she prepares for a well-earned retirement at the close of this school year, we hope this is one of many reminders that her years here have mattered enormously - to the students she shaped, to the colleagues she inspired, and to the institution she helped build.

Banner Moment: Fope Ayo '26 Celebrated as Gatorade Player of the Year for Basketball

On Friday, members of the Class of 2026 gathered in Richard J. Meelia ’67 Hall to celebrate Fope Ayo ’26 as her Gatorade Massachusetts Girls Basketball Player of the Year banner was unveiled. Joined by her parents, Folarin and Funke; her sister, Fiyin Ayo ’30; classmates; teammates; faculty; and staff, Fope was recognized for an extraordinary senior season and a legacy that has helped elevate Austin Prep girls basketball on the state, regional, and national stage.
Athletic Director Patrick Driscoll '97 opened the ceremony by reflecting on the strength of the senior class and the shared excellence students have brought to campus. “When we celebrate excellence, we’re celebrating Austin Prep and what it stands for,” Driscoll said. “It is a community of faith. It is a community that supports one another in the hard times and in our accomplishments.”
Head Girls Basketball Coach Ushearnda “Coach U” Stroud then spoke about Fope’s impact beyond the court, recalling how Fope first came to Austin Prep looking for strong academics and a school community she could embrace.
Coach U said Fope’s greatest strength is not only what she has accomplished in basketball, but how she cares for others. “Yes, we’re here to discuss basketball, but your greatest strength, Fope, is how you love people,” Stroud said. “You have a heart after people.” She also noted that Fope helped bring national attention to Austin Prep girls basketball, with some of the biggest names in the sport visiting campus to watch her play and work out. “You have absolutely put the Austin Prep women’s basketball program on the map,” Stroud said. “What you’ve done for this program, for this school, for our community. We thank you so much.”
The banner unveiling marked another milestone in a historic year for Fope, who averaged 22.3 points, 17.3 rebounds, and 4.1 blocks per game. A nationally ranked recruit and University of Michigan commit, Fope became the first player in Austin Prep history to surpass both 1,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds. As the banner now hangs in Richard J. Meelia ’67 Hall, it honors an elite student-athlete and leader whose faith, humility, and commitment to community will leave a lasting mark on Austin Prep.

Middle School Journey Concludes with Class of 2030 Final Assembly

On Monday, May 11, Austin Prep eighth graders celebrated the conclusion of their Middle School Journey with the Class of 2030 Final Middle School Assembly. Head of School, James Hickey, Ph.D. and Head of Middle School Mr. Michael McLaughlin offered remarks, and attendees enjoyed a reflective slideshow. Students reflected on our core values of veritas, unitas, and caritas, and offered prayers and gratitude for teachers and parents to end the ceremony.

After recently recognizing Ms. Celia Barletta, World Languages Faculty, Austin Prep is proud to honor Mrs. Michele Brewer, P'30, '32, Mathematics Faculty, for her extraordinary dedication to our students, families, and community.
Since joining Austin Prep in 2015, Mrs. Brewer has made a lasting impact as a mathematics teacher, Head Coach of Varsity Softball, mentor, and parent. In the classroom, she is known for her patience, encouragement, and unwavering belief in her students, helping them grow in both confidence and character. On the softball field, her leadership has shaped a program defined by resilience, accountability, and success, highlighted by the team’s 2019 MIAA Division 3 State Championship season and continued collegiate achievements of many former players.
In so many ways, Mrs. Brewer's work here has been a living expression of our Augustinian mission. She pursues truth in her classroom, builds unity among her students and colleagues, and offers her care with a consistency that has become one of the quiet hallmarks of her dedication. Austin Prep Contributes Over $43,000 to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

At the Community Meeting on Tuesday, May 12, it was announced that Austin Prep raised $43,580 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital during the three Spirit Weeks this academic year. The mission of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is to advance cures, prevention, research and treatment for pediatric catastrophic diseases, and the Hospital has been the beneficiary of Austin Prep’s charitable efforts in recent years. Seventh Graders Welcome Guests for Prayer Service and May Mother's Tea

Austin Prep seventh graders participated in the May Crowning Prayer Service and May Tea on Monday, May 11. This annual event is an opportunity for students to invite one special guest - a mother, grandmother, aunt, or neighbor - to join them in the Chapel of Saint Augustine for prayers followed by a small reception in the Dining Hall to celebrate Mary and motherhood in all its forms. Students and their guest are invited to bring flowers or a small plant to place around the Statue of Mary as a part of the celebration. View photos from the event.

Sports Operations Club and Sports Management Students Welcome Guest Speaker
Dr. Driscoll moderates a conversation with Dr. Joseph Cooper, Sports Operations Club, and Sports Management students.
On Tuesday, May 12, Austin Prep welcomed Dr. Joseph Cooper, professor, researcher, author, and founder of Collective Uplift, for a thought-provoking conversation with students from Ms. Michelle Flaherty's, Art and Design English Faculty, Sports Management class and the Sports Operations Club. Dr. Cooper challenged our community to consider what it truly means to develop a student athlete as a whole person of purpose, character, and faith. His work calls institutions to examine whether they are investing in students' full humanity or merely in their performance. That question resonates deeply in our Augustinian tradition, where we believe, as Augustine did, that genuine education means helping young people discover who they are and what they love. Dr. Cooper's visit reminded us that forming students of faith and values is not just an ideal for us; it is a responsibility we hold for every person who walks through our doors, athlete or not.
Students Support Local Special Olympics Event
On Friday, May 1, 39 Austin Prep students came together to help facilitate the 20th Annual Special Olympics Game Day in Lexington, MA. Students helped manage all station events for 326 student athletes on Game Day. These events included the long jump, 50 meter dash, Olympic Town, obstacle course, the 4 x 100 relay, and more. Austin Prep students worked alongside other student leaders and agents for inclusion from neighboring school communities in the LABBB Education Collaborative (Lexington, Arlington, Belmont, Burlington, and Bedford). This successful event showcased an environment of respect, dignity, and advocacy for all students.

Teacher Appreciation Month Continues with Classroom Naming in Honor of Coach Ryan

Back in late March, Austin Prep launched a new initiative giving our community a powerful and heartfelt way to honor the extraordinary educators who have shaped our students' lives and made Austin Prep the special place it is. We invited you to celebrate a beloved teacher or coach by making a gift to name a classroom in their honor. This May, as we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Month, we look forward to unveiling classrooms named in honor of treasured faculty and staff members.
After recently recognizing Ms. Celia Barletta, World Languages Faculty, and Mrs. Michele Brewer, P'30, '32, Mathematics Faculty, Austin Prep is proud to announce that Room 218 has been unveiled in honor of Mr. Sean Ryan, P'29, '30, Assistant Dean of Students and Head Boys Basketball Coach.
Since arriving at Austin Prep in 2023, Mr. Ryan has made a meaningful and lasting impact on our community through his leadership, mentorship, and unwavering commitment to the growth and development of our students. Under his guidance, Austin Prep Basketball has experienced remarkable growth, highlighted this past winter by a playoff appearance and the program’s first-ever NEPSAC Class B Tournament berth.
Mr. Ryan's influence, though, reaches far beyond the scoreboard. In the gym, in the hallways, and in his daily interactions with students, he consistently challenges young people to lead with discipline, accountability, humility, and character. He has helped cultivate a culture rooted not only in excellence, but in unity, purpose, and care for others.
In many ways, Mr. Ryan’s work reflects the very heart of Austin Prep’s Augustinian mission. Through his leadership and daily example, he lives out our values of veritas, unitas, and caritas, helping students understand that success is built not only through talent but through integrity, commitment, and respect for one another.

Summer at Austin Prep Registration Closes on May 29
Join us for the LEGO Experience program this summer.
There is still time to register for Summer at Austin Prep, but registration closes next week on Friday, May 29. Summer at Austin Prep is a wonderful opportunity for students to stay active, build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and connect with friends in a fun and supportive environment. Programs run from June 22 through August 14 across four sessions.
Academic Programs
• Middle School Math Prep – Help students strengthen essential math skills, build confidence, and enter the next school year ready for success.
• Pre-Algebra Review / Algebra I Prep – Reinforce key pre-algebra concepts while building the confidence and accuracy needed for Algebra I.
• Algebra I Review / Algebra II Prep – Strengthen Algebra I mastery and preview advanced concepts to help students move into Algebra II with clarity and confidence.
• SAT/ACT Prep Signature Series – Prepare for test day with small-group, interactive instruction focused on proven strategies, challenging questions, and real results.
Enrichment and Athletics
• Tennis Training Program – Train in a high-performance environment with skill development, strategy, strength work, match play, and mental preparation for competitive student-athletes.
• LEGO Experience – Give young builders the chance to imagine, design, and create a mini city while developing problem-solving, teamwork, and engineering skills through play.

100th Anniversary of Steinway Piano Celebrated with Blessing and Masterclass

On Wednesday, May 20 Austin Prep celebrated the 100th anniversary of our 1926 Steinway Model M piano, generously donated by the Sarney '28 Family. The program, held in the Music Room, included a choir anthem, a reflection from School Chaplain, Fr. Patrick Armano, the blessing of the piano, comments from Dr. Jess McCormack, Director of Music, and Georgina D'Cruz, Assistant Director of Development, and a masterclass led by guest clinician Dr. Bonnie Anderson — a highly accomplished chamber and orchestral pianist with ties to the Boston Symphony, Juilliard, and Boston University, among others. Three student pianists, Mark Tokarev '28, Ruby Thompson '27, and Sai Pochampally ’32 also performed.
The ceremony provided the opportunity to celebrate the historic piano, student performers, and Dr. Anderson, and we are grateful for the contribution from the Sarney family. Enjoy photos from the event.
Students Presented with National Mythology Exam Awards
These 11 students achieved a perfect score on the National Mythology Exam!
The National Mythology Exam is an annual assessment administered by the American Classical League to students in the United States and abroad who are studying classical mythology. Each year, 6th and 7th grade Latin students at Austin Prep have the opportunity to take the exam at the end of a unit on Greek and Roman mythology. This year, 52 students from Austin Prep won an award of some kind on the exam, with 12 students winning silver medals (maxima cum laude), 6 students winning gold (summa cum laude), and 11 students achieving an outstanding perfect score! Congratulations!
Freshman Class Takes on Annual Model UN Conference
Hailey Rebelo '29 (not Katie Drummond!) participates in Wednesday's Model UN Conference with freshman classmates.
The Freshman Class of 2029 participated in Austin Prep’s fifth annual Model UN Conference, a simulation designed to immerse students in contemporary global issues. Guided by the History Faculty, ninth graders spent several weeks researching their assigned topics, analyzing competing perspectives, and preparing to negotiate solutions on the world stage.
During the conference, students stepped into the roles of delegates, speakers, and committee chairs, representing countries and organizations as they drafted, lobbied, and debated to build consensus around a final resolution. This year’s seven committees tackled timely global challenges, including A.I. in global infrastructure, rare earth metals, access to education, and other pressing issues shaping international policy.
The debates were lively, thoughtful, and impressively student‑driven. Delegates worked hard to articulate the perspectives of their assigned nations while gaining a deeper understanding of global interdependence and the complexities of international problem‑solving. Twelve senior Austin Prep baseball student-athletes have marked their commitments to play college baseball with celebratory signings surrounded by teammates, faculty, family and friends. Together, the student-athletes have continued the standard of excellence of Austin Prep baseball while making an impact that extended beyond wins and losses. “You absolutely succeeded when it came to raising the bar of the program and who we are,” Associate Head of School and Head Baseball Coach Jonathan Pollard '97, P'32 said. “Utmost respect and appreciation for what you did for the school community.” Pollard also reflected on the mark they made on the program, saying, “This is a very special group that leaves behind quite the legacy for future generations to chase down.”

One of the meaningful additions to the Austin Prep community during the 2025-2026 academic year has been the Kaleidoscope Crew, which is a campus employment initiative that brings individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities into meaningful roles at Austin Prep. Through a partnership with BrightBridge Neurodiversity Workforce Partners, Crew members support the daily operations of the School while engaging in purposeful, supported work. Introduced last November, this collaboration exemplifies Austin Prep’s mission to form young people with Augustinian hearts shaped in veritas, unitas, and caritas. Together, Austin Prep and BrightBridge are building a bridge between education and meaningful work – demonstrating how inclusion, guided by love, can transform hearts and minds and illuminate the restless journey we all travel. As a St. Ambrose Fellow and Instructional Assistant in the Richard J. Meelia ’67 Center for Integrated Learning, Mrs. Scaplen plays an essential role in supporting students and strengthening our learning community. Through her patience, steady encouragement, and close partnership with teachers and families, she helps students grow not only in confidence and academic skill but also in their belief in what they are capable of achieving.
Mrs. Scaplen approaches her work with humility, compassion, and deep professionalism. She understands that meaningful education begins with relationships, and she has earned the trust and gratitude of students and families through the care she brings to each interaction.
In naming this classroom in her honor, we celebrate the lasting impact educators like Mrs. Scaplen have on the life of a school. Her work reflects the very best of Austin Prep and the spirit of our Augustinian mission.
The Campus Ministry Office was named in honor of Mr. Eric Smith.
Since joining our faculty in 2023 as a Middle School Theology teacher, Mr. Smith has made a meaningful impact on the lives of his students. Through courses such as Living as Disciples of Christ and Living as Members of the Church, he encourages students to grow not only in knowledge but also in faith, character, and purpose. At the heart of his teaching is a deep belief in his students and their potential, something they hear often when he reminds them, “I have faith in you.”
Mr. Smith’s commitment to our mission extends beyond the classroom. This past summer, he deepened his understanding of the Augustinian tradition through a faculty summer sabbatical in Rome and by representing the School at the Augustinian Values Institute. In all that he does, he reflects the values of veritas, unitas, and caritas that define our community. Starting with the 2026-2027 academic year, Mr. Smith will assume leadership of the Theology Department as the Faculty Chair.
In naming this classroom in his honor, we recognize the lasting influence educators like Mr. Smith have on the life of our school. Through his steady encouragement, compassion, and authentic witness to the faith, he helps form not only thoughtful students but good and faithful young people.

Twenty members of the Class of 2027 were honored Tuesday as recipients of Book Awards. The tradition of book awards is designed to recognize students who embody the criteria of each individual award, set by colleges and universities across the country. Some schools choose a book that is written by an alumnus or exemplifies the core mission of that institution. Other schools present certificates, medals, and awards in specific categories, and are often accompanied by special admissions benefits and even scholarships if the recipient chooses to attend that specific institution.

Despite there still being five days left in the academic year (but who is counting?), we are already excited for 2026-2027! This past week we hosted BBQs with carnival style games and great food for newly enrolled Austin Prep Middle School students and parents, as well as for new and returning members of the Class of 2030. Colleagues Celebrate Ms. Celia Barletta's Retirement

Faculty and Staff gathered Tuesday, May 26 at the Lanam Club in Andover to celebrate and honor Ms. Celia Barletta, World Languages Faculty, who is retiring after 41 years of dedicated service to Austin Prep. Ms. Barletta began her Austin Prep journey in 1985, and has served this School as a cornerstone of the World Language Department, as Dean of Student Activities, and as Assistant Head for Academic Affairs. In 2020, she was recognized by the Board of Trustees with Austin Prep's St. Augustine Lumen Award, which honors outstanding teaching, and was later celebrated in Journey Magazine for forty years of service in world language education and mentorship. Her story is woven into Austin Prep's own. She was here when the School transitioned to coeducation in 1992, and later spoke with pride about watching the first women students embody Austin Prep's core values in action. She has been, in the words of a former student, “a beacon of inspiration and excellence in teaching.”
We thank Ms. Barletta for her many contributions to our community, and congratulate her on her extraordinary career. Austin Prep is a better place because of you and we will miss you!
Austin Open Golf Tournament Another Huge Success
Austin Prep supporters were blessed with a perfect day for golf at the 38th Annual Austin Open Golf Tournament.
Austin Prep hosted the 38th Annual Austin Open Golf Tournament, on May 18 at Indian Ridge Country Club in Andover, and was a great success raising over $96,000! You can view photos from the day here.
The Annual Golf Tournament is vital in our efforts to continue to provide exceptional educational experiences for all our students.
