Austin Prep Musicians Share Their Talents During CatholicTV Telethon

Six Austin Prep Upper School students shared their musical talents and represented the School at the CatholicTV Network on August 25, performing as part of the network’s annual Telethon.

Isabella Bianco ’27, Markus Faust ’29, Gabriella Guerriero ’28, Laney Putney ’28, Emmett Surowiec ’27 and Adelaide Weiler ’28 joined Austin Prep Director of Music Dr. Jessica McCormack at the CatholicTV studios for the network’s largest annual fundraiser.

The experience provided students with an opportunity to put their gifts into action through music and service while sharing Austin Prep’s Catholic mission with a broader audience.

The performance is one of several opportunities ahead for Austin Prep musicians this fall as the program continues to grow. Students have received invitations to perform at events beyond campus while also preparing for the School’s upcoming trip to Rome.

McCormack has also been appointed to the Board of the Boston Chapter of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians. She will serve as the organization’s inaugural Officer for Innovation and Emerging Leaders and will select an Austin Prep student representative to join her on the Board.

Together, these opportunities reflect Austin Prep’s commitment to helping students discover their talents, develop as leaders and use their gifts in service to others.
