Happy Easter from Austin Prep

Happy Easter from Austin Prep

My grandfather had a fondness for jelly beans, and not just any jelly beans – Russell Stover Jelly Beans. There’s something spectacular about them and if you’ve ever had one, you know what I’m referencing. When I was a boy, I would especially look forward to visiting with my grandparents around Easter time because I knew those jelly beans would be in a candy dish next to my grandfather’s chair.

I found over the years those jelly beans are not as easy to find as you might think, and part of my Easter routine for the last 25 years is to hunt for them. I know I can order them on the internet and have them shipped right to my house, but I’ve never done that. Somehow buying them online is just not the same.

Although we are physically separated from each other this Easter season, we nevertheless remain connected through the love of family and friends, past and present. Everyone has some version of a Russell Stover Jelly Bean story – a fond memory, a rich tradition, an annual routine – that keeps us linked to those we love.

Happy Easter! From my family to yours, may you experience the hope that comes from the Resurrection and the joy that comes from Russell Stover Jelly Beans.
