December is a month filled with Austin Prep traditions, bursting with activities grounded in faith, fellowship, and some holiday spirit that animate the Augustinian keystones of veritas, unitas, and caritas – Advent liturgies, the campus tree lighting and Nativity blessing, door decorating, Lessons and Carols, our rendition of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, supporting underserved families in partnership with St. Mary of the Assumption in Lawrence, and the Head of School’s Christmas Open House for the Class of 2024. You can experience some of these activities by clicking here and learn more about the Christmas season at Austin Prep here.
The burst of activities over the last few weeks has been jam-packed – and I’ve heard more than one person recently make reference to a well-earned “long winter’s nap” over the Christmas break!
May the Christ Child be welcomed into your hearts and homes as you gather in the coming days to celebrate the gift of His birth. St. Theresa of Lisieux reminds us that “a God who became so small can only be love and mercy.”
Merry Christmas and blessings for the New Year!
