Austin Prep welcomed back to campus over 100 faculty and staff for a week long orientation session in preparation for the upcoming academic year.
Professional development opportunities focused on the unique needs for the 2020-2021 academic year, including technology training for hybrid learning, and health and safety precautions and guidelines. Austin Prep announced August 11 a hybrid learning model to start the academic year.
Headmaster James Hickey, Ph.D., provided a welcome and remarks to start the week - which included the introduction of new faculty and staff to the community - and also unveiled the theme of the year: I pray that they will all be one. In doing so, Dr. Hickey challenged those in attendance to determine what actions can be taken as a community to eliminate things that contribute to dividing the human family.
The faculty and staff orientation will continue through Friday, August 27. The first day of classes at Austin Prep is Tuesday, September 8.
