Tuition Assistance

Austin Prep provides tuition assistance to approximately 35% of our students. Our tuition assistance program is a needs-based grant program. The Heritage Grant Awards help defray the cost of education for families who qualify solely on the basis of demonstrated financial need. Austin Preparatory School uses FACTS Financial Aid and Grant Assessment, an online application to evaluate tuition assistance requests.  The Financial Aid Committee will only review and evaluate requests for new students after they are accepted for admission to Austin Prep and for current students who are in good standing. Additionally, applications will only be considered when all information is complete, including the upload of required income tax documentation.  Applications that are not complete, do not include the financial information of both parents when applicable, or are missing supporting documentation will not be considered for tuition assistance.  

Financial Aid Process and Timeline
November 1, 2024
•  Austin Prep Financial Aid Application opens for the 2025-2026 school year.  Click here to begin application. 
            
December 15, 2024
•  Priority deadline for 2025-2026 tuition assistance requests.  Requests completed after this date may be awarded on a rolling basis depending on availability of financial aid funds.
 
January 31, 2025
•  Austin Prep Online Enrollment opens. 
 
February 14, 2025
•  Deadline to accept Financial Aid awards by completing your 2025-2026 enrollment agreement. 

 

Important Information about Tuition Assistance

  • A Financial Aid application must be completed in advance of each school year before December 15th in order to be considered for tuition assistance for the subsequent school year. 

  • The FACTS application must reflect the financial information of both surviving parents.  In situations where the parents are separated or divorced, two FACTS applications may be filed to satisfy this requirement.

  • Complete tax documents are required to be considered for an award. 2023 taxes and W2s are required by December 15th. 2024 taxes and W2s are required to be uploaded by April 15th to maintain your award.

  • Financial Award notices are posted to the online enrollment portal and are reflected on your online enrollment agreement.

  • Late applications, submitted after a new student is accepted or after the online enrollment agreement is released, are not reviewed unless the family notifies the financial aid committee at apfinancialaid@austinprep.org.
