AP Spaces: A Campus Overview

Explore Austin Prep’s 55-acre campus and discover the spaces where students learn, compete, gather, and grow. Our campus brings together innovative academic facilities, premier athletic venues, community spaces, and places rooted in Austin Prep’s Augustinian Catholic tradition.

We’ve selected some of the spaces that we believe best represent what makes the Austin Prep experience distinctive, from innovative classrooms and learning environments to athletic and community spaces that give students opportunities to pursue their interests, develop their talents, and thrive. Explore these spaces in 3D and experience Austin Prep from wherever you are. If you can’t make it to campus in person, you can still step inside many of the places our students experience every day.

Campus Life & Tradition

Main Entrance

Welcome to AP! Remodeled in 2018, Austin Prep’s Main Entrance provides a bright and welcoming introduction to the School. The space features the Austin Prep seal and a statue of St. Augustine, connecting visitors immediately to the School’s history, identity, and Augustinian Catholic tradition.

Dining Hall

Just to the right of our main entrance and renovated in 2018, the Austin Prep Dining Hall is a central gathering place for students and faculty. The space seats approximately 340 people and features multiple serving stations, a brick oven, and outdoor dining, with fresh, made-from-scratch meals prepared through Austin Prep’s all-inclusive dining program with SAGE Dining.

Chapel of St. Augustine

The Chapel of St. Augustine is at the heart of Austin Prep’s Augustinian Catholic tradition, providing a sacred space for prayer, reflection, worship, and community. Mass is celebrated each weekday during the school year, while historic stained-glass windows connect the space to St. Augustine, Christ the Teacher, and the Augustinian tradition.

Learning & Innovation

Science Room

Located in the Science Wing on the fourth floor of McLaughlin Hall, the Science Room supports hands-on learning across Austin Prep’s science curriculum. Home to Medical Science and Advanced Placement Chemistry, the space features an Anatomage Table that allows students to explore complex scientific concepts through interactive three-dimensional visualization.

Richard Meelia ’67 Center for Integrated Learning

Created during the 2025–2026 school year, the Center for Integrated Learning provides flexible spaces for individualized instruction and small-group learning. Students receive academic support, executive function coaching, accommodations, and other resources designed to help them build confidence, strengthen skills, and become more independent learners.

Stephen Williams Classroom

Completed during the 2026–2027 school year, the Stephen Williams Classroom is a modern, flexible learning environment dedicated in memory of a longtime Austin Prep teacher. Movable seating, adaptable furniture, and mobile whiteboards allow students to transition easily among classroom discussion, collaborative group work, and independent learning.

Podcast Studio

Built in 2025, the Austin Prep Podcast Studio provides students and faculty with a dedicated space for audio and video production. Professional microphones, cameras, audio equipment, and production tools support podcasts, interviews, and creative media projects while giving students hands-on experience in communication and digital production.

Fr. Arthur F. Smith, O.S.A. Library and Media Center

The two-level Fr. Arthur F. Smith, O.S.A. Library and Media Center provides students with space for research, collaboration, reading, and quiet study. The Library features physical and electronic books, academic databases, digital research tools, technology resources, and programming that promotes literacy, learning, and cultural awareness.

Athletics & Student Life

Richard J. Meelia ’67 Hall
