Class of 2023 Joins Ranks of Austin Prep Alumni
Friday, May 19 was a beautiful day on the campus of Austin Prep as the community came together to celebrate the Baccalaureate Liturgy and Commencement for the Class of 2023. During Senior Week, during Senior Week, the Senior Class gathered for a class photo, shown above with seniors in sweatshirts representing their college or university of choice. We wish them the best of luck as their journey continues.
Class of 1973 Celebrates 50th Reunion
As a part of Commencement Weekend, we welcomed back the Class of 1973 for their 50th Austin Prep Reunion, as well as the Classes of 1966-1972. It was great to welcome them back to campus! #AustinAlways Photos from the reunion can be found here.
Benefactors and Students Recognized at Memorial Scholarship Ceremony
We were honored to announce Memorial Scholarship recipients for the 2023-2024 academic year at a special breakfast and ceremony on Thursday, May 25. A program for the event can be found here. Students in grades 9-11 were eligible to apply for the awards and recipients demonstrated significant academic achievement and service contributions to the Austin Prep community, among other qualities. Memorial Scholarships are available to our students due to the generosity of Austin Prep families and friends who have created funds in memory of a loved one. We are proud of our students and grateful for the support of those who make these scholarships possible. You can view photos from the event here. 35th Annual Austin Open Golf Tournament a Success
We were blessed with a beautiful day on Monday, May 22 for the 35th Annual Austin Open Golf Tournament, held at Indian Ridge Country Club. The event was a great success with a full flight of golfers! You can view photos from the day here.
The Annual Golf Tournament is vital in our efforts to continue to provide exceptional educational experiences for all our students. A special thank you to alumni families for their 2023 Title Sponsorships: Pimentel Construction and Quirk Construction Corp. This year, proceeds from the golf tournament will help support the new heating system upgrades and the addition of air conditioning in McLaughlin Hall to provide a comfortable learning environment in the classroom for our students and faculty.

Recent Champions Celebrated with Ring Presentations
Alums Colby Medeiros '22, Steven Galatis '22, Nico Fanuele '22 and Tristan Miller '23 received championship rings for their MIAA 4x400 meter relay championships.
On Monday, June 12 Austin Prep celebrated recent MIAA and NEPSAC champions with the presentation of championship rings followed by a breakfast with family and friends. Champions included:
- The 2022 MIAA Division IV Indoor Boys 4x400m team
- The 2022 MIAA Division V Outdoor Boys 4x400m team (Tristan Miller '23, 2022 MIAA Division V Outdoor Boys 400m Champion)
- The 2022 Girls Cross Country Division 2 NEPSAC Champions
- The 2023 Boys Alpine Ski Class C NEPSAC Champions

Farewell and Thank You, Jennifer Hodgdon
Jennifer Hodgdon at the 50th Reunion in May, 2023.
Over the past five years, Jennifer Hodgdon has served as Austin Prep's Director of Alumni Engagement and Giving, often sharing noteworthy news with Austin Prep's alumni community. We would like to take this opportunity to share the news that, after five years of dedicated service to Austin Prep, Jen has decided to spend more time at home so that she can care for her family full-time.
During her time at Austin Prep, Jen was deeply committed to strengthening bonds in the alumni community through her work hosting class reunions, planning alumni career fairs for students, welcoming alumni back to campus, and supporting various other school initiatives. Austin Prep is grateful for Jen’s service and is committed to the continued growth and development of alumni programming.
Please join us in thanking Jen and wishing her well. We will provide additional updates regarding the Office of Alumni Relations in the next Alumni Courier, but in the meantime, please feel free to reach out to Sue Belanger, Assistant Head of School for Administration and Special Projects with any questions about alumni activities.
Save the Date: 60th Anniversary Gala
The doors of Austin Prep opened to students in September 1963. For the last 60 years, Austin Prep has been on an enduring and restless journey of excellence in the footsteps of St. Augustine. In that time, we have built a sturdy foundation and fortified it with the Augustinian values of veritas, unitas, and caritas.
So let's celebrate our Journey! Save the date for our 60th Anniversary Gala, a night of celebration and reminiscing. This event will be one for the books, so remember to mark the date of Friday, September 15 because you don't want to miss it. Keep an eye out for ticket information coming in July, and get ready to celebrate Austin Prep!
