The Austin Prep Dance and Theatre program welcomes dancers and actors of all abilities. At each level, the utmost care and attention is provided to give each performer the opportunity to develop at her or his own individual artistic pace. Dancers have the ability to learn a variety of dance styles, and are encouraged to dance in our annual performance of The Nutcracker and annual Spring Recital. Thespians have opportunities to take the stage by participating in the Fall or Spring Play.

Drawing, acrylic and watercolor painting, photography, mixed media and sculpture are just a few of of the mediums currently on display in Austin's Murphy Art Gallery. Our program is unfolding in new and innovative ways as we encourage our students to build solid foundations in their introductory courses, and specialize directions as their talents develop. Our Main Art Studio is spacious and visually inspiring, as it is surrounded by windows that overlook Reading's conservation land.

The Austin Prep Choir explores a variety of musical styles, from contemporary selections to liturgical compositions. Students learn the basics of vocal technique as well as the advanced artistry of the experienced performer. Vocalists take part in productions throughout the school year, including holiday shows. The Austin Prep Band encourages students to expand their knowledge of musical instruments, focusing on instrumental tone quality, musical theory, and reading music.
