Pat Driscoll '97 | Director of Athletics
Patrick Driscoll '97 is in his sixth year as Director of Athletics at Austin Prep and his 23rd year in high school athletics. During the 2021-2022 academic year, Mr. Driscoll successfully guided Austin Prep's transition to the New England Preparatory School Council (NEPSAC) and was named the Massachusetts Secondary School Athletic Directors Association (MSSADA) District 6 Athletic Director of the Year.
Prior to arriving at Austin Prep, Driscoll spent 18 years at Malden Catholic where he amassed significant administrative and coaching experience at the secondary school level. From 2006-2011, Driscoll served as the Assistant Director of Athletics before being appointed Director of Athletics in 2011, a role he held until 2019. He also served as the Lancer’s Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach before being named Head Baseball Coach in 2012, and also served as the Associate Head Varsity Hockey Coach. As a coach at Malden Catholic, he was a part of eight State Championship games, winning six, and also captured six Catholic Conference Championships. He currently serves as the Varsity Boys ice Hockey Head coach at Austin Prep.
As an undergraduate at Assumption College, Driscoll was a four-year letterwinner in Baseball, where he was also named Most Valuable Player and Captain of the 2001 squad. He graduated from Assumption in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Driscoll holds three Masters Degree in Education, Sports Leadership and Business Administration. He has been a Xaverian Brothers Associate since 2013, and was recently named "District H" Athletic Director of the Year.
Driscoll's impact has also been felt in the classroom where he created a pilot sport management class at Malden Catholic, developing a suitable curriculum to introduce high school students to the fundamental principles of sport management and facilitate the development of their personal philosophies within the industry. Major objectives required students to develop personal and professional skills, question and analyze global action as it relates to sports and participate in practical application.
Finally, he established a Sport Management Club which encourages all students to utilize individual skills and talents. Some activities include live streaming events, running intramural tournaments, and assisting with game management.
Adam Kramer | Assistant Director of Athletics
Adam Kramer joined Austin Prep in September 2022 as Assistant Director of Athletics. In this role, he oversees the coordination of practice and game schedules, transportation logistics, officiating assignments, and event operations. He also coaches the boys middle school basketball team. With a strong background in the sports industry, Kramer brings a detail-oriented and student-centered approach to athletic administration. His passion lies in promoting athletic and academic excellence, student athlete leadership and development, and creating meaningful experiences for student-athletes through efficient operations and a commitment to educational values.
Before joining Austin Prep, Kramer spent over six years in the athletics department at Northeastern University, where he held various roles across event management, facility operations, and business and finance. His professional experience also includes roles in marketing for the Boston Bruins and ticketing operations with the Boston Red Sox. He began his career in the sports industry as the Operations and Communications Coordinator at Bay State Games and was a part of the Dave McGillivray Sports Enterprises (DMSE) event management team that organizes road races nationally.
He attended UMass Amherst and received a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management and Psychology in May 2015. In 2018, Kramer earned a Master’s degree in Sport Leadership from Northeastern University.
Jimmy Wilkins | Assistant Director of Athletics
Jim Wilkins joined the Austin Prep Athletics staff as Assistant Athletic Director in the summer of 2024. In this role, he oversees athletics registration, uniform inventory, and the department’s social media presence. Wilkins is committed to equipping Austin Prep student-athletes and coaches with the tools, resources, and support needed to maximize their experience within the Austin Prep athletics program.
Prior to joining Austin Prep, Wilkins served as the Director of Athletics & Activities at CATS Academy Boston, an independent boarding school located in Braintree, MA. During his eight-year tenure at CATS, Wilkins played a pivotal role in developing and expanding the school’s athletic program. Under his leadership, CATS earned full membership in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC), as well as membership in two NEPSAC-affiliated leagues: the Girls Independent League (GIL) and the Southeastern New England Independent School Athletic Association (SENEISAA).
Wilkins was instrumental in introducing a number of new athletic offerings to the school’s program, including Co-Ed Golf, Co-Ed Tennis, Baseball, Boys Hockey, and both Girls and Boys Volleyball.
He earned his undergraduate degree in Communication with a minor in Sports Management from the College of Mount Saint Vincent in May 2015. While at CMSV, he competed as a member of the cross country team for two years. He was recognized as the athletic department’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year for both the 2013–2014 and 2014–2015 academic years. In December 2022, he completed his Master of Science degree in Sport Management from Endicott College.
