Greece 2016

In June, Mr. Christopher Ayers, Foreign Language Faculty, accompanied Olivia Venuto, Aingea Venuto, Emily Happeny, Anastasia Mastrocola, and Stephanie Gratiano to Greece for a cultural trip. The group explored all of the country's magnificent wonders, from the ancient to the modern. Below is their travel blog. Enjoy!

Ancient Olympia

This is the start of the footrace in the stadium at Ancient Olympia. Chase (fourth from left), a senior at Porter Ridge High School near Charlotte, NC, was the winner, while Magister Ayers (in blue) came in second and Anastasia (in green) was third. We also traveled with school groups from Rhode Island, West Virginia, and California. Later, we had dinner on the veranda at our hotel then leisurely strolled through the streets of the town where Greek families gathered to socialize with their neighbors.
