Hands-On Training From The FBI

Special Agent Tim Kolk visited our Upper School Forensics class a few weeks ago. He gave students an overview of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and talked about how a crime is processed and fingerprinting techniques. Special Agent Kolk also brought some of the materials used at FBI crime scenes.

The Forensics course is taught by Ms. Stacey Bishop, Science Faculty.

Upper School Science Overview

Each student completes a minimum of three years of science beginning with Biology and Chemistry, which are then synergized by an array of electives spanning both the Physical and Biological domains.

Students are challenged according to their ability levels and include the full array of advanced placement courses. Each science course has substantial laboratory experiences.

Diversified teaching methodologies are complemented by the enhanced multimedia capabilities of lab classroom configurations.

Upon completion of these requirements for graduation, the informed student is not only prepared for college but is also a civic-minded individual, open to the concept of life-long learning with a deep seated understanding of the importance of science in our everyday lives. Extracurricular activities are also in place to enhance the core science curriculum.
