Teacher An Inspiration To Others

Congratulations to Mr. Rob Taylor, Art and Design Faculty, who is the second recipient of the St. Augustine Lumen Award.

Mr. Taylor was noted for his optimism, hard work and creativity, as well as his nurturing spirit and caring nature.

“Rob goes above and beyond every day and his efforts are always student-centered and in the best interest of the community. Rob is unitas in action,” said Board of Trustees Chair James W. Noga P’12, who presented Mr. Taylor with the award during the Faculty and Staff Christmas Party.

The Lumen Award was established by the Austin Prep Board of Trustees to recognize outstanding teachers.

Inspired and inspiring, the St. Augustine Lumen Award recipient is a beacon of light, bringing out the best in others and being a shining example of what it means to personify Austin Prep's mission, said Headmaster James Hickey, Ph.D. P’22, ’23, ’24. The award includes a $1,000 stipend that recipients use to pursue professional development with at least one other faculty member.

Also on hand to congratulate Mr. Taylor were Trustees Dr. Michael J. Barry ’79Mr. Dan Bouchard P’10, P’14, P’15Mr. Joey Carregal ’05 and Mrs. Jennifer (Throp) Fantozzi ’97.
