May Crowning And Tea Is A Grade 7 Tradition
Posted 05/24/2018 03:14PM

Seventh-graders, their mothers and grandmothers took part earlier this week in the 2nd Annual Grade 7 May Crowning and Tea.

The special event began in the Chapel of St. Augustine with a prayer service. Many families brought flowers and placed them on the altar at the foot of the Blessed Mother, Mary. The prayer service included readings and hymns to honor Mary. Fr. Patrick Armano, School Chaplain, recounted the story of St. Monica, the mother of our Patron, St. Augustine, and blessed St. Monica medals which were presented to all the mothers and grandmothers in attendance.

After the prayer service, everyone enjoyed tea and treats, in the Murphy Art Gallery and Gathering Room.
