National Junior Honor Society
The National Junior Honor Society chapter of Austin Preparatory School is a duly chartered and affiliated chapter of this prestigious national organization. Middle School students are selected each fall for membership according to high standards of scholarship, character, service, and leadership. Students at the beginning of their seventh and eighth grade years are eligible. The minimum academic requirements are three grading periods of distinction and one grading period of honors over the course of the school year. NJHS operates similar to the NHS at the upper school level, and coordinates multiple community and school service projects. Students are selected to be members by a Faculty Council.
