The Austin Chorus explores a variety of musical styles, from classical favorites to contemporary selections, and liturgical compositions. Students learn about the basics of vocal technique as well as the advanced artistry of the experienced performer. Vocalists take part in numerous productions throughout the school year, including performing in Richard J. Meelia Hall, as well as during various sporting events and holiday shows.

The Austin Band encourages students to expand their knowledge and expertise of musical instruments. Student musicians focus on instrumental tone quality, understanding musical theory, and reading music. The Austin Band performs as the Pit Orchestra for the Fall Musical and the Spring Concert.

The Austin Dance Program boasts the largest dance studio north of Boston, with a sprung floor and 6-foot mirrors. The program welcomes dancers of all ages and abilities; from national title holders to budding ballerinas, the Austin Dance Program has it all! At each level, the utmost care and attention is provided to give each dancer the opportunity to develop at her/his own individual artistic pace. Dancers have the ability to learn a variety of dance styles, including jazz, ballet, tap, pointe, lyric and modern dance.  All dancers are encouraged to dance in our annual performance of The Nutcracker as well as our annual Spring Recital.

Austin's budding thespians have multiple opportunities to take the stage; from participating in Drama Fest to the Fall Musical and Spring Play, all students are invited to audition for our award-winning program. 

Drawing, acrylic and watercolor painting, photography, mixed media and sculpture are just a few of of the mediums currently on display in Austin's Murphy Art Gallery. Our program is unfolding in new and innovative ways as we encourage our students to build solid foundations in their introductory courses, and specialize directions as their talents develop. Our Main Art Studio is spacious and visually inspiring, as it is surrounded by windows that overlook Reading's conservation land.
