Retreats & Reflection

At Austin Prep, retreats serve as transformative experiences that allow students to step away from their daily routines, reflect on their spiritual journeys, and deepen their relationships with God and their peers. Rooted in our core values of Veritas, Unitas, and Caritas, these retreats encourage students to embrace servant leadership, self-discovery, and faith formation. As St. Augustine reminds us, “Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe.”

Retreats are offered at every grade level and tailored to meet the unique spiritual and developmental needs of our students. Whether through on-campus retreats or multi-day overnight experiences, students engage in meaningful prayer, reflection, and community-building activities. These retreats provide dedicated time to explore faith in a supportive and immersive environment. Notably, students in Grades 8 and 12 participate in off-campus retreats, offering them a deeper and more reflective spiritual experience. Those enrolled in the Retreat Leader Program also attend an overnight retreat, designed to prepare them for their leadership roles.

At the heart of Austin Prep’s retreat experience is the Retreat Leader Program, which empowers students to take on mentorship and leadership responsibilities. Retreat leaders play an integral role in facilitating small group discussions, leading prayer and reflection, and organizing team-building activities. Through this program, students develop public speaking skills, leadership qualities, and a deeper connection to their faith, while serving as role models and guides for their peers. This opportunity fosters personal growth, confidence, and a greater understanding of servant leadership.

In addition to student retreats, Austin Prep also offers parent and faculty retreats, reinforcing the school's commitment to spiritual formation and community engagement. These retreats provide opportunities for reflection, renewal, and deeper faith exploration, ensuring that all members of the Austin Prep community can experience meaningful spiritual growth.
