Austin Prep’s Summer Math Academy offers focused, small-group instruction designed to help students strengthen core math skills and enter the next school year prepared and confident. Programs are open to both Austin Prep students and students from the wider community, welcoming participants from beyond our campus to join us.The program serves both students looking to reinforce foundational concepts and those ready to advance into higher-level material.
Through targeted daily lessons and personalized support, students review essential topics such as number properties, fractions, decimals, graphing, equations, and algebraic concepts in a structured and engaging learning environment. Each session provides the opportunity for meaningful skill growth, clarity, and academic momentum.
Sr. Maria Nassali
Instructor
Sr. Maria Nassali is the Assistant Head of School for Mission and Ministry at Austin Prep, and is an experienced math educator. Sister Maria is known for clear instruction, academic rigor, and strong student mentorship. Her values-based approach creates a focused learning environment that helps students build confidence and mastery.

Review of number properties, percentages, fractions, decimals, and coordinate plane graphing. For students entering Grades 6–7.
Pre-Algebra Review / Algebra I Prep

This course reinforces core pre-algebra concepts and builds a strong foundation for Algebra I success. Students review slope and graphing, combine like terms, and practice solving one- and two-step equations, developing confidence and accuracy with essential algebra skills.
Prerequisite: Completion of Pre-Algebra.

This course strengthens Algebra I mastery while introducing key concepts needed for success in Algebra II Honors. Students review algebraic fundamentals while exploring quadratic functions and factoring, preparing them for more advanced coursework with confidence and clarity.
