Please make your check payable to Austin Preparatory School. Austin Prep is pleased
to accept gifts through Donor Advised Funds and family foundations. If giving through a

Wire Transfers or ACH  Payments

Wire transfers or ACH payments are easy and efficient ways to make a gift to Austin
Prep. For instructions, please contact Hillary Repucci, Director of Development, at

Gifts of Appreciated Securities

Donations of securities transferred directly to Austin Prep receive additional tax benefits. You avoid capital gains taxes on the difference between the price you paid for the
securities and their current market value, and are able to claim a tax deduction on the average value of the gift on the day it is received in Austin Prep’s brokerage account.

Please email Hillary Repucci, Director of Development, at hillary.repucci@austinprep.org and provide the following information to ensure you receive the correct tax-deductible credit for your gift. 
1) The name of the security
2) Number of shares
3) How you wish to direct your gift (Austin Prep Fund, Memorial Scholarship, etc)

Tax-Free IRA Distributions

Your IRA can provide a tax-smart way to make an impact at Austin Prep today. Those
age 70½ or older may make gifts and pledge payments directly to Austin Prep from an
Individual Retirement Account (IRA)—with a maximum of $105,000 per year. The
Qualified Charitable Distribution or QCD (sometimes called an “IRA Charitable
Rollover”) is a great way to make a tax-free gift now to Austin Prep while also satisfying
your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD)

Planned Giving

You may choose to name Austin Prep as the recipient of a major gift in the future. Such deferred gifts can be tailored to your personal circumstances while helping you achieve important reductions in your current personal income taxes and estate taxes. Some deferred giving methods include:

  • Life Insurance: There are several ways to use life insurance to mutually benefit Austin Prep and yourself. These include making Austin Prep the sole or co-beneficiary of a new or existing policy. Income tax and estate tax benefits are also available through insurance gifts to Austin Prep.
  • Bequests: Gifts by will, whether in the form of cash, securities or other property, may be fully deducted in determining federal estate taxes and inheritance taxes.

Gifts of Real Estate

If you make a gift of property to Austin Prep, you will be credited with a contribution valued at the fair market value of the real estate, which is ordinarily ascertained by a real estate appraiser.
